The node has been in operation since 2001 and is located on the South Hill about 500 feet above the city of Spokane. It provides coverage of the Spokane, WA area is but is primarily a private use link. All licensed stations are welcome to use it. Typical DTMF codes may be used to control the node and are listed below. 

The node consists of a Dell laptop and a rigblaster nomic  interface. The transceiver is an ICOM IC 820H  running about 25 watts output to a  Comet GP-6 antenna. Internet connectivity is provided by a cable internet connection and a D-Link DI-624 router.

Echolink has been integrated with KH2D's Echotime TTS plus using Neospeech natural voices.This provides additional functionality and DTMF codes.

Recording codes. These codes may be used to record a QSO that takes place when connected to another station. It will NOT record audio that is generated locally.

[The Echolink node will START recording whatever is said during a QSO]
22*                                Stop recording
    
[The Echolink node will STOP recording whatever is said during a QSO]
33*                                Play the recording back
    
[The Echolink node will PLAYBACK what you just recorded]

IMPORTANT: Recordings are limited to 5 minutes duration!
