Digital Communication: I really enjoy
the amateur radio digital modes such as PSK31, RTTY, MFSK16. I have been
active on these modes for many years and started out with modes such as
packet, amtor and pactor.

6 Meters and non-terrestrial communication on
VHF/UHF: The 'magic band' has fascinated me for some
years now, providing unusual and unpredictable communications. I especially
enjoy modes such as aurora, backscatter and ducting. In the past I was
active on high earth orbit satellites such as Oscar 10 and 13 and my
experiences go back to Oscar 6. I hold the satellite DX achievement award
from the ARRL.
-
Meteor Scatter on 6 meters: Recently I have
become interested in meteor scatter contacts on 6 meters using the
WSJT software that exchanges FSK messages at high speed. Catch me on the
Ping Jockey Central web page or calling CQ on 50.260

Computers and Networking: I enjoy
building my own desktop computer systems and experimenting with local and
wide area networks. Echolink seems to fit right in with these interests. See
the tab on Echolink for more information. I hold the A+ and MCP
certifications and have worked in the computer support field for many
years..

Flight simulation: Love to fly in Flight
Simulator 2004 and FS X.
-
Travel: I have lived in Europe and Asia and
have visited Australia. Would love to return one day. We enjoy
touring/camping in our travel trailer.
-
Virtual Ionosphere: Several programs simulate
HF communication on the internet. While not ham radio
it provides an interesting alternative communication method for licensed
hams.
-
Online Gaming: I enjoy playing first person shooters
such as Battlefield 2. You can find me on the pRc (PrecisionClan) server.
